This is an interesting and waterproof one to three year investment, where put simply you finance the developer, who then buys back the property from you for a very generous profit. This sort of deal is more common at the moment, because the banks are rather coy to lend to developers, so this type of opportunity is more open to private investors.
The advantage with Spain is, that it is a very safe investment location, where property has always risen over a long period of time (20 years plus) and is well placed to start climbing again once the recession starts to fade over the next 24 months or so.
